Welcome to
the Blackheath Art Society website.
Blackheath
has long been a magnet for London artists, with its World
Heritage site at Greenwich, Goldsmiths College,University of
London nearby, and some of the most diverse scenery from urban
decay to the glorious spaces of the Heath, Greenwich Park and
the River Thames.
Blackheath Art Society is a group
of professional and semi-professional artists working and living
in the area. We include
among our members artists working in a wide range of media and
styles.

The Society’s
exhibitions celebrate the work of our enthusiastic membership.
We aim to enhance the reputation of a society which is at once
historic and expanding.
We hang a representative selection of the work of our members
and hang and catalogue work in a manner which shows it to
advantage. The vitality of the society is now nurtured by two or
three exhibitions each year. We produce a regular newsletter and
join in occasional sketching days, workshops and visits. A
lively Committee is supported by active volunteer members. You can see details of our forthcoming events by
clicking the Yellow link.
We will be holding
regular EShows on this site. These will be collections of new
work from members displayed by theme or medium. Keep an eye on
the changing EShows by clicking on the Orange link.
You can get
membership details by clicking on the Green link.
