Artist Biography - Margaret Dinkeldein

Margaret’s passion for painting started at school when she was fortunate in having an outstanding art teacher who had an enduring influence.

Her preferred medium is watercolour, but she also works in oils and has recently been exploring the use of egg tempera.

Margaret’s subject matter is varied, but with a strong leaning towards Still Life and Landscape in figurative form. During the past two years she has been working on a series of seascapes based on recent memories of Whitstable, Camber, and Inch Beach on the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland.

Her fascination with light, tone and reflections is manifested in much of her work, and she enjoys painting out of doors as much as in the studio.

Margaret has exhibited frequently in recent years, and venues include the Farnham Maltings, Woodlands Art Gallery and the Blackheath Halls. She also exhibits regularly with the Lee Open Studios and with the Society of Women Artists at Westminster Central Hall and the Mall Galleries.

Examples of Margaret's art can be found on her Artists Page. If you are interested in buying any of Margaret's artwork please refer to or Buying Art page.
